Flower Care
-
Use a Fresh, Clean Vase
Start with a thoroughly cleaned vase. Any leftover bacteria can cause your flowers to wilt sooner. -
Remove Excess Leaves
Carefully trim off any leaves that are below the waterline. Leaves in the water can cause it to spoil quickly. -
Trim the Stems Regularly
Cut about 2-3 cm off the bottom of each stem at a slight angle. Doing this every few days prevents the ends from hardening and ensures the flowers absorb water more efficiently. -
Change the Water Often
Just like us, flowers thrive on fresh water. Keep the water topped up, and replace it whenever it gets cloudy or dirty. -
Keep Them Cool
Avoid placing flowers in direct sunlight, near drafts, or next to ripening fruit, as these can cause wilting. A cooler spot will help them last longer. -
Remove Wilting Flowers
As flowers naturally fade, remove any that have wilted. Not only do they detract from the arrangement, but they can also spread mold to the healthier blooms.
