This 400 ml pink side-handle kyusu is made from unglazed Tokoname clay, prized for enhancing green tea’s umami by absorbing polyphenols over time. Featuring thin-walled ceramic construction, a removable stainless mesh strainer, and drip-free spout, it’s designed for precision pouring and tea-building across multiple brews.

• Please do not put it in the dishwasher, as the chemicals are far too corrosive for the clay.
• Dont scrub the teapot with an abrasive cleaner or abrasive cleaning pad. A soft, damp cloth and gentle rubbing should remove any stains that might develop on the outside of the teapot.
• While these teapots are used in Japan for green teas such as Sencha and Gyokuro, most other plain teas, such as Chinese green, yellow, and black teas and oolongs will steep well in Tokoname clay. 
• Please avoid using strongly perfumed or flavoured teas such as Classic Early Gery, Peppermint, Chai of Ghana, Jasmine Pearl etc in your Tokoname teapot as these teas will leave residual flavour embedded in the clay of your teapot.
